But can you just upload everything? How about solutions manual of her textbooks? This question does not weigh heavily on the conscience of many fellow students, but we nevertheless remain curious. The main idea in answering the question is always: if the material is not yours, you must make clear who owns it. If youve read something elsewhere, you should cite the original source.

The collective labor agreement for Dutch Universities offers more freedom to arrange this transfer of rights in an individual employment contract than, for example, in the collective labor agreement for higher professional education. See article 1.20 ff and article E-7 of the collective labor agreements. Again, as long as you do not pretend to have drawn up these documents yourself, you are fine. Make sure you have permission to upload these documents. If it is not stated anywhere that it is not allowed, you can publish it. If you want to play it safe, it is best to consult the OER (Education and Examination Regulations) of your study or the study manuals and other subject information.

Intellectual property in theses Many students wonder about the intellectual property rights of theses. The main rule here is that the rights belong to the author of the thesis, ie the student himself.
